RIMAL (رمال) is Arabic for sands. Sand keeps a record of everything that crosses it: caravans, wind, generations. Heritage works the same way. It shifts, but it is never lost.
RIMAL was founded by a German engineer with Moroccan roots. Two worlds that seem far apart: the precision and patience of engineering on one side, the geometry of the Amazigh, the arabesques of North Africa and the silence of the desert on the other. RIMAL is where they meet.
We do not release drops. RIMAL is told in chapters, each one a part of the same journey. Chapter I is called Asl, Arabic for origin: the roots, the script and the geometry everything else grows from.
Every design is built line by line in professional design tools. Each Kufic letter, every Amazigh symbol and every zellij star is constructed on a grid, measured and refined until every angle is right. Then the design is placed on the garment itself and checked for size and position on every cut and colour. A single design can take weeks. Nothing comes from a template.
We work in our own studio, not on an industrial line. The satin sleeve labels on our tees and the woven hem labels on our crewnecks and hoodies are sewn on one by one with a classic Veritas sewing machine. Prints are pressed at their exact size. Every order is wrapped in our logo tissue, tagged with brass and jute, sent with our card and two stickers, and closed with a black ribbon. It is slow. That is the point.
Nothing waits in a warehouse. Your piece is produced after you order, a garment that was made for you.
Designed in Germany. Rooted in North Africa. Made to be kept.
